As a Board Certified Emergency Medicine physician, Dr. “Kip” Schumacher brings strong clinical skills and vast Emergency Department operations experience to Schumacher Group’s client hospitals. Dr. Schumacher has engineered the growth and development of the company by keenly employing his knowledge of emergency medicine delivery to the application of a professional mission statement and a vision for ER operations in future healthcare markets.

Dr. Schumacher’s personal commitment to excellence gives everyone around him a proper focus on high quality patient care. His philosophy and approach to the entire health care field provide impetus to the whole organization as it responds in a manner contemporaneous with today’s market complexity and ever changing environment. Dr. Schumacher’s skill as an entrepreneurial CEO has driven the dynamic growth of the company to an excess of $300 million in 13 years. Future projections indicate continued success and well managed growth.

Dr. Schumacher has also become a national leader in the political and policy arenas. He was honored as a ‘Hero of Emergency Medicine’ by the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) in 2007. He has published several articles on the leadership challenges faced by the healthcare industry, has been, and continues to participate on a number of non-profit boards related to healthcare and governmental reform. He was the Chairman and a founding member of the Emergency Department Practice Management Association (EDPMA). EDPMA is a non-profit association formed to serve as a highly focused intra-industry and public policy advocate for physician practice management groups, billing and coding companies, and allied organizations. Dr. Schumacher is also a Master Graduate of Rapport Leadership International.
