Richard Gamber

Chief Operating Officer - Hospital Medicine Division

Richard Gamber’s health care career spans nearly 40 years, which started as a registered respiratory therapist providing respiratory care and managing clinical staff at major health care facilities in the Midwest. Following a 10 year period at such, he pursued a career in hospital administration, ultimately serving as CEO at facilities in Nebraska, Iowa, Georgia, South Carolina, and Texas. His experience in strategic planning and operations involved him in new program and service development, capital improvement projects, technological initiatives and various operational improvements.

Gamber has extensive experience and skills in financial analysis, human resource management and strategic and operations planning in private not-for-profit, for-profit, and governmental organizations. During and following his tenure in hospital management, he has had physician practice management responsibilities in single and multi-provider practices in multiple sites and communities. Most recently, his role has been one of oversight of support staff and physician providers of numerous Hospital Medicine programs.
