Dr. William "Kip" Schumacher

William C. Schumacher, M.D., a board certified emergency medicine physician, formally founded the Schumacher Group in 1994 and remains a practitioner active in the business, principal owner of the company, and CEO. The philosophy behind Schumacher Group's founding was based on his belief that there was a better way to deliver and manage emergency medical services in the hospital environment. That 'better way' is embodied in our Mission Statement.

Physician-Owned and Operated

The sustainability and achievement of Schumacher Group in the industry can be attributed largely to its firm leadership foundation and the depth of expertise therein. As a physician-owned company, we are guided by a core team of Medical and Executive leaders, several of whom are Board Certified emergency medicine physicians. Many of these leaders, including our President and Chief Medical Officer, continue to work shifts in emergency departments. These leaders have decades of direct experience in emergency department management and operation and have a rich understanding of the complexities facing the emergency medicine physician in today's environment.
