Schumacher Group Receives "Innovator of the Year" Award

Lafayette, LA - September 12, 2007 - Innovation and forward thinking by Schumacher Group got the attention of Louisiana Governor Kathleen Blanco this year. The governor bestowed the state’s “Innovator of the Year” award on Schumacher Group after a selection process by The Louisiana Governor’s Technology Awards Committee.

Dr. William C. “Kip” Schumacher, in accepting the honor, gave the credit to Schumacher Group employees generally and IT personnel in particular.

“Our investments in technology have been driven by our principles to focus on delivering quality patient care and providing our physicians and hospital clients the tools necessary to provide such care,” he said. “I assure you that we will continue to enhance our capabilities in this and other areas while continuing to focus on treating patients with dignity and respect.”

The award was presented during an annual, multi-state technology convocation known as Tech South.

Among Schumacher Group executives attending the presentation and singled out by Schumacher was TSG Chief Information Officer Doug Menefee.
