Credentialing Summit a Success
Lafayette, LA - October 27, 2008 - Process improvements. Industry developments. Provider satisfaction. Technology updates. And more.
All were on the agenda for the first-ever Schumacher Group Credentialing and Provider Enrollment Summit here Oct. 23-24. Nearly 30 employees from the Lafayette Corporate Office and multiple regions attended.
Sessions were facilitated by Medical Staff Administration Director Tammy Davis, with assistance from some 15 presenters. Among those were Dr. William “Kip” Schumacher, COO Jim Guidry, ACOO Donna Landry, CIO Doug Menefee, Jeannine Lanoux, Sheila Robson, Lisha Falk, Vicky Romero, Kirk Richard, Kathleen Schexneider, Amy Katnik, Linda Guidry, Jheri Bellard and Carl Kelly.
The event also yielded awards for several credentialers, medical staff liaisons and medical staff coordinators. Those included:
Judy Pierce, Medical Staff Coordinator, Midwest Region, named Most Valuable Player for overall achievements;
Crystal Dugas and Lissa Laine, South Central III, presented Data Quality Awards for having the highest percentages (80 and 94 percent respectively) of hospital applications and agreement returned dates entered;
Nancy Williamson and Janice Rodriguez, Southeast II, presented Data Quality Awards for the highest percentage 96 percent) of PEP packet data entered;
Velicia Cater, Southeast I, noted for Most Privileged Providers (152), including Startups;
Amy Ammerman, Southeast I, acknowledged for Most Privileged Providers (71), excluding Startups;
Crystal Dugas, South Central III, named “Rookie of the Year” for 50 privileged providers; and
Kristen Fuller, Kristi Bouillion, Maria Nolasco, Monique Buller, Crystal Dugas, Morgan LeJeune, Tammy North, Tammy Rice and Velicia Carter, additional nominees for the MVP Award.
