CFO Appointment Official

Lafayette, LA - April 06, 2009 - Schumacher Group has a new Chief Financial Officer in Marie Bourque, it was officially announced today.

The announcement came from President and Chief Medical Officer Dr. Randy Pilgrim, who made the formal appointment March 31. Bourque had served as Interim CFO for the past six months and as Corporate Controller/VP of Finance five years prior.

Pilgrim cited “long-standing contributions” and a track record by Bourque and her team for “continued excellence in matters of accounting, internal controls and audit performance.” Bourque started with Schumacher as an Accounting Supervisor 12 years ago and assumed additional positions of responsibility and supervision since that time.

Of note, said Pilgrim, has been “a fantastic job of continuing to structure the department for success now and into the future, refining systems and processes to respond to significant economic challenges, and continued focus on service delivery for our physicians, mid-level providers, operating teams, and Schumacher Group departments.”
