Continuing Medical Education

Schumacher Group is driven by the mission of providing continuously improving quality healthcare to all patients. Adherence to that mission requires the continuance of medical education to assure our physicians are equipped with current clinical awareness. For these reasons Schumacher Group provides access to unlimited hours of free Continuing Medical Education (AMA Category 1) for physicians through a variety of renowned learning programs, including both didactic onsite programs and enduring materials, many of which are accessible through Schumacher Group�s Provider Portal.

Within the curricula are monthly clinical newsletter subscriptions such as the Quality Improvement / Risk Management Newsletter, which aims to improve physician knowledge about current high-risk areas of Emergency Medicine.

Schumacher Group provides for its physicians Documentation E-learning modules, which are designed as interactive tools to ensure that quality medical care is delivered and appropriate documentation is achieved on each patient encounter.

Additionally, Schumacher Group's Medical Leadership Academy (MLA) was created to inspire and motivate a mission-oriented team of health care leaders, and to provide continuous professional development in a changing emergency medicine world. The goal is to focus on performance, leadership/advocacy opportunities, mentoring, networking and growing the MLA four quadrants:

3. Operations
4. Clinical Excellence

Objectives of the program are designed to improve physician knowledge in various areas of Emergency Medicine, such as Quality Patient Outcomes, Clinical Best Practices, Risk Management and Documentation. Special quarterly training courses are available to Schumacher Group Medical Directors in online, case study, and group discussion formats, all of which are CME-approved.

Schumacher Group also provides on-site physician and nurse education for our hospitals to enhance quality care and patient satisfaction. These vary from improving turnaround times in the emergency department to customer service development and relationship management / interpersonal skills.
