Medical Billing

Schumacher Group incorporates the strengths of our own billing company (EMBCC) with that of an outside vendor (EPBS) to optimize this function. Because we use proprietary and outside vendors, we have access to abundant information on compliance issues, auditing, and training for both our physicians and hospital personnel.

Schumacher Group Employs an EDRC (Emergency Department Records Coordinator) at each facility who is responsible for insuring the completeness of patient charts, collecting them, and sending them to the professional coding and billing operations (ProCode, also owned and operated by Schumacher Group).

In addition, Schumacher Group has a large Customer Service Department to help patients resolve payment issues, as well as a large Collections Management Department to manage insurance Accounts Receivable.
